First of all a big thank you to all those members who have been active in strimming, weeding , tree lopping and peg building.
The weed at Hatton Lane continues to grow and needs pulling out. A big thank you to Chris Barnes on that one, Ian Pollitt has done some strimming at Holly hedge and we have a new peg on the shallow pit, thank you Dave Solan and Rod Atwell.
Holly hedge needs the other side to be strimmed and the hedge cut back on our side of the road otherwise we will lose accessaround the pond.
I have spoken to members who said they would get involved particularly with strimming Hatton Lane and work at Hollyhedge but so far no cigar.
All that is being asked is for a couple of hours to be spent on the waters in order to improve the fisheries. To that end I do have the club strimmer that can be borrowed, a throw rake is located at Hatton Lane and I have an extending rake that be borrowed.
If you are unsure just contact me via the website or my telephone which is on the website.
Many hands make light work, all the best, John Barton.
