Hello everyone,
Courtesy of the Woodland Trust Wilderspool Angling Club are able to fish the above pond over the coming season.The water needs to be fished to find out about the fish stocks and potential weed problems. If you go on the web and put in Brownlee’s Pool you can see it.The location for parking is on ShacKleton Close just off Cromwell Avenue, postcode WA59QQ, BEST TO LOOK ON A MAP BEFORE YOU GO.Please park sensibly and note there is no night fishing and it is barbless hooks and no keepnets.
It might be that other anglers fish the pond but we have to live with that.However we do have a bailiff Steve Harker who might ask you for your card.
If you fish either of the two pools that are there you do so at your own risk. The club accepts no responsibility for any thing that might happen.
The surroundings are pleasant, in a small woodland area with a public path through it and it is on Woodland Trust land.
Obviously feedback on the fishing will be appreciated.
